COMMUNITY PETITION FOR TRUTH, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
We, the undersigned, stand with Baby Kohen, his family, and the Senatobia community in seeking answers, transparency, accountability, and justice.
Baby Kohen, a one-year-old child, was killed during an encounter involving Senatobia, Mississippi police following an alleged shoplifting investigation.
Every child deserves protection. Every family deserves answers. Every community deserves confidence that incidents involving the loss of life are reviewed fairly, thoroughly, and transparently.
COMMUNITY REQUESTS
Conduct a complete and impartial review of the incident.
Release available body camera, dash camera, surveillance footage, and 911 recordings as permitted by law.
Keep Kohen’s family and the community informed throughout the review process.
Publicly share the findings of the investigation when completed.
Take appropriate action based on the facts and conclusions of the investigation.
Consider policy improvements and training measures to help prevent similar tragedies.
